Better Late Than Never

Okay, I've been informed by someone that I haven't done a very good job of updating my blog, so, Lisa....here is my update. :) We've had a tough week this past week. Mom was put in the hospital on Monday due to a blockage in her bowels. She had an NG tube placed for suction but it wasn't getting better so on Thursday they did surgery. What they found was more cancer. There are tumors attached to the blood supply of her bowel so they could not remove them. There are still the many little tumors all over the place. Obviously the chemo was not working like we thought it was. Her oncologist would like to try another chemo drug, but again stressed to us that gallbladder cancer is very hard to treat due to the fact that it is so rare and they don't know much about it. We are facing the very real and hard facts that this may be untreatable however, in the same way we are leaving it in the Master Surgeons hands. We know that through Him all things are possible. Before surgery on Thursday Mom told me that God has a plan in all of this. So that is where we are at. Otherwise we are busy with life in general. We have a couple more weeks of baseball left. Jamie & Spencer (who were married Memorial Day weekend) stopped by last night and we enjoyed watching Konnor walk around and get into everything. It kept Aunt Jade busy! Please keep Mom and our family in your prayers and I will try to do better at updating this!!!
